In the mid-1970s, Quebec band Morse Code Transmission refined its musical identity with its compelling second album, an epic 2-LP package simply titled II. Blending progressive rock, hard rock and ambitious instrumental passages, the band developed a powerful and distinctive sound.

The album marks a turning point in the group's evolution before they would shorten their name to Morse Code, switch to French-language vocals and become one of the leading acts of Quebec progressive rock. Il captures the energy and boldness of a band on the rise.
