Il fut un temps où le rare et fougueux single de The Masque à plus de 400 $, « Lady Of The Land » b/w « Wake Up In The Morning », était considéré comme un morceau inédit par Jim Morrison et The Doors – en l’écoutant, on comprend très bien pourquoi. Et c’est un très bon point de départ pour apprécier le Masque. Après tout, que demander de plus c. 1970 ? Ce même single était aussi (jusqu'à présent) la seule preuve que The Masque existait réellement. Nous sommes heureux de remédier à cela avec un album complet d’enregistrements de 1970 par The Masque, mettant en valeur leurs talents de hard rock.

There was once a time when The Masque’s rare, fiery $400+ single, ‘Lady Of The Land’ b/w ‘Wake Up In The Morning,’ was thought to be unreleased material by Jim Morrison and The Doors — listening to it, it’s quite clear why. And that’s a pretty good starting point for appreciating the Masque. After all, what more could you ask for c. 1970? That same single was also (until now) the only proof that The Masque truly existed. We are glad to remedy that with a full album’s worth of 1970 recordings by The Masque, showcasing their hard-rocking chops.
